After an extraordinary 40 years of calling the action, our legendary play-by-play commentator Sam Hewitt has decided to retire. True to his humble nature, Sam has chosen to announce his retirement through this brief news blurb, politely declining any on-screen or off-screen ceremonies, as he doesn’t want to take away from the action and excitement of Pollo Road.
