SUPER POLLO - Company President
The namesake of the promotion. Super Pollo is otherwise known as Teddy Davis, a Great Lakes born wrestler who was active from 2003 to 2018. In the latter stage of his career, Davis was given the Super Pollo name and mask after befriending El Hijo de Pollo in the United States. After Hijo de Pollo's sudden passing in 2018, Davis has attempted to honour his late friend in a variety of ways. Davis mostly keeps out of the spotlight these days, so if he does make an appearance he'll be wearing the signature Pollo mask.
DUSTY STRAUSS - Host, Play by Play Commentary
A longtime radio announcer, Strauss brings his calm, conversational and inviting cadence to Pollo Road. Offering an unhurried delivery, Dusty Strauss does a masterful job of keeping a steady pace with the action, very measured and deliberate. As host, he'll also interview fighters on their way to or from the ring and often comes off as an old friend rather than a reporter - allowing him to get more interesting replies from said fighters.
"PUREBRED" BRIAN SHELZI - Colour Commentary
Thirteen years as a wrestler, three as a manager and two as a referee. The Pacific Northwest's favourite son offers valuable insight in the broadcast booth. He is similar in style and tone to Jesse Ventura, quick to compliment heels on "efficient" strategies and chastises good guys for their "righteousness".
MASON "THE MOUTH" MARVELLE - Ring Announcer
A man doesn't get the "Mouth" moniker being quiet. He's a tremendous announcer and gets crowds fired up, but if you strike up a conversation with him - you're going to be there all afternoon.
Pierson will never win a popularity contest amongst the roster, but that doesn't stop him from doing his job with only fighter safety in mind - never their pride. He worked in mixed martial arts during the sport's formative years, but was brought on board by the Laurentide Athletic Commission in 2016 to oversee their professional wrestling division.
TED "TUBBY" THOMAS - Senior Referee
Short and stout, "Tubby" is a pretty jovial man. Although laid back, Thomas earned his stripes by being stern and fair and he's one of the best at keeping an eye on things when the average ref's head would be spinning.
GIDEON DUBE - Referee
Once a feared enforcer, playing in both the Ontario and Quebec junior leagues. The 6'1" / 219lbs Dube isn't going to let you push him around.
