Pollo Road was founded in 2022 and is named after Los Pollos Excelentes, a 2000s trio featuring the promotion's president, Super Pollo. With its unconventional name and colourful presentation, Pollo Road delivers professional wrestling with clearly defined good guys and bad guys and events that are aimed and timed out to be fun for the whole family. In PR, fighters aim to outwit or outgun their opponent(s), championship titles and tournaments represent competitive achievement and signify that you are among the very best. However, there are also times when the rivalries go beyond pure competition and result in wager matches. In such cases, fighters will risk their prized professional identities (masks, hair, career, etc) that they have spent so much time crafting in an attempt to strip an opponent of theirs. Given Super Pollo's history as a tag team and trios wrestler, you're sure to see many of these in Pollo Road. All tag matches utilize the automatic tag rule - meaning that once a fighter has exited the ring, voluntarily or not, the next fighter on their team may enter the ring in their place. Pollo Road also aims at maintaining a balance between competitive intensity and ethical conduct, therefore is an excessive punishment rule which means a fighter can be disqualified if a referee determines they are not actively trying to win the bout and instead just trying to punish an opponent.
Pollo Road is best defined as a HYBRID microfed. Promos are between 500 and 750 words, with the aim of the fed to mix the structured storytelling of angled feds with the creativity and flexibility of role play feds. Such an approach ensures that a handler's creative efforts are recognized quickly, allowing us to adapt and adjust and use their momentum as part of the stories.
The main goal of your RPs in Pollo Road are to make staff and fellow handlers care about your character - their goals, motivations, etc - and whether they win or lose their next match and how they might respond to either outcome.
1. I have no patience for toxicity and drama. Pollo Road is a laid back, easy going atmosphere and a creative outlet for myself and the handlers that choose to join me. Anyone being a detriment to this will be removed regardless of their standing.
2. You must post one RP per cycle, but may post as many as you see fit although only your best one will count. There are also a few simple, straightforward rules to adhere to when writing your promo(s): no hate speech or discrimination, no law breaking, do not attack staff or other handlers' characters in your promos and if you want to use another handler's character in your promo, then please get their permission first.
3. Feedback for the completed tour is due by the following Sunday night at 10pm EST. This is your ticket to get booked for the next tour.
4. If you're going to be absent, then give us a heads up as soon as possible. If you no-show without notice, you have seven days to check in or we'll assume you're done with the fed. Best way to apologize for a no-show is to leave detailed feedback on the most recent event.
5. Discord is our main base of operations and serves as our out-of-character communications and instant messenger system. It is not required that you have it, but it absolutely makes things easier.
