In front of a Pollo Road banner AJ paces the floor. He's got a bit of a grin on his face as he begins to speak.
"The hour's approaching sports fans, AJ Knight and Henry Yamazaki Vs. The Punchline, and frankly this time last year, I'd have called this match a sinch. But in spite of the name, you boys have proven yourselves no laughing matter the last few months. I mean, damn look what you boys have accomplished! You slew the Mustard Pig, ran Ryan Samuels off to Japan, now you boys are headlining the anniversary show, and all that in just the span of a few months. It's honestly damn impressive. But now? Now you're faced with a different proposition entirely. See, I'm not like Ryan Samuels, or Cerdo Mostaza..."
AJ gives a pointed wink to the camera discussing them as two separate entities.
"I may not be as big or as ornery, but I'm a whole lot goddamn smarter. I'm not a raging bull, I'm a chess master, I think through how to take people down, and in that respect you boys have a lot to learn. You boys have your numbers. That's your hammer, so everything's a nail. But there's only so many problems you can solve with a hammer. And I get what you're going for. You boys are looking to make a name for yourself, trying to collect some scalps. I did it too, but the difference is I did it better. Sure, I've made some damn powerful enemies, but at the end of the day each and every one of them I stood tall over. And see, that's the issue you're going to run into here. You've made enemies, now you've got to learn how to beat them or lose everything. And in my experience the only way you learn to win is the hard way."
AJ's demeanor grows a bit grimmer.
"See boys, I don't have a problem with what you're trying to do. But I can't stomach how you're doing it. See, in spite of everything, this is a gentleman's sport. There are lines you don't cross. There are things you don't do, and in all my years of trying to make my name, never once have I tried to end someone, the way you tried to end Kalidah. And God knows if anybody has reason to it's me. After everything the Buchanan family has put me through, I still would never have considered trying to blind him in retaliation. I came up believing that you come in, you make your point, rough em' up a bit, but at the end of the day you leave your rival in one piece. This is our bread and butter! This is how we feed our families, and you tried to rip that from him? Well sorry boys, but that dog will not hunt. So now I'm going to teach you a painful lesson about the dos and don'ts of etiquette. But don't worry, I won't do to you what you tried on Kalidah. You'll leave in one piece I promise. After all, I've got to leave something for him to take."
AJ pauses, giving an inquisitive look.
"What? You really thought you'd blind him and that was the end of it? You've got a lot to learn. And I'm afraid, he's not going to be as nice a teacher as I will. Have fun!"
AJ exits the frame flashing a peace sign as the camera fades to black.
