(The scene opens on the bustling streets of Tokyo at dawn. Ryan Samuels, clad in running gear, pounds the pavement with determined strides. Beside him, on a small scooter, rides Mr. Japan, Saito Sawamura, enthusiastically cheering him on.)
Mr. Japan: (shouting over the noise of the city) Come on, Ryan! Push yourself! Faster, faster! This is just the beginning!
(Ryan grits his teeth and increases his pace, his breath visible in the cool morning air. Passersby glance curiously at the sight, some recognizing the large, determined man.)
Bystander: (doing a double take) Tetsugi?!
(Ryan acknowledges the recognition with a nod but keeps running. After several more blocks, they finally come to a stop at a quiet park. Ryan bends over, catching his breath, while Mr. Japan dismounts his scooter.)
Mr. Japan: (grinning) You’re looking strong, Ryan! I can see the fire in your eyes. You’re ready for anything.
Ryan Samuels: (panting) Thanks, Saito. That was a good run.
Mr. Japan: (taking a more serious tone) Ryan, I wanted to talk to you about something a bit different today. How do you feel about having the fans cheer for you now? It’s a big change from your past, isn’t it?
Ryan Samuels: (straightening up, looking thoughtful) Yeah, it is. I’ve always had a...complicated relationship with the fans.
Mr. Japan: (nodding) I remember. But they had your back against the Punch Line. They really rallied behind you. How does that feel?
Ryan Samuels: (pausing) It’s strange, to be honest. I never thought I’d see the day when the fans would be cheering for me. I’ve been the villain, the guy everyone loves to hate, for so long. But seeing them support me, especially against those clowns in the Punch Line, it meant something.
Mr. Japan: (smiling) They see your passion, your heart. They know you’re fighting for something more than just wins and losses. They believe in you.
Ryan Samuels: (nodding slowly) Yeah, I guess they do. It’s...it’s a good feeling. I won’t lie. When I heard them chanting my name, it gave me that extra push.
Mr. Japan: (patting him on the back) That’s the spirit! Embrace it, Ryan. The fans are behind you because they see the real you. Not the mask, not the persona, but the man who fights with everything he’s got.
Ryan Samuels: (smiling slightly) I appreciate that, Saito. I never thought I’d care about what the fans think, but...I do. They’ve seen me through some tough times.
Mr. Japan: (grinning) And they’ll be there for you in the J1 Summit. They’re rooting for you, Ryan. You’ve got their support, and that’s a powerful thing.
Ryan Samuels: (determined) You’re right. I won’t let them down. I’ll fight for them, for myself, and for everything I’ve worked for. This is my time.
Mr. Japan: (enthusiastically) That’s what I like to hear! Now, let’s get back to training. There’s no rest for the warrior!
(The camera follows Ryan and Mr. Japan as they head back into the city, ready to continue their training. Ryan’s determination is palpable, and with the support of the fans, he’s more motivated than ever.)
