A sweeping and serene aerial view of Lake Michigan transitions to the Chicago skyline, then to a hockey arena full of rowdy fans. The Anniversary event of Pollo Road is electric, with the air buzzing with anticipation as fans litter the venue. The crowd, a lively mix of die-hard loyalists and new faces, fills every seat and stands shoulder to shoulder, eager for the night to begin. Chants of "¡Pollo! ¡Pollo!" resonate through the arena. The smell of popcorn, nachos, and other concessions drifts through the air, mixing with the sounds of laughter, chatter, and the occasional burst of pyro testing from the stage. The ring, spotlighted at the center, is surrounded by a barricade of fans, some wearing masks of their favorite wrestlers, while others sport homemade signs and Pollo Road merchandise. Kids with wide eyes stare at the ring, while seasoned fans exchange predictions for the night’s outcomes. We go to the podium...
SAM HEWITT
From the Second City! Chicago, Illinois! Welcome to Pollo Road! I'm Sam Hewitt joined as always by Brian Shelzi! Brian, tonight we're celebrating two years of Pollo Road! Four tremendous bouts here in the last place it all started - Chicago, Illinois!
BRIAN SHELZI
That's right, Sambo! Last year, it was AJ Knight defeating Pollo Dorado II and unmasking him as Matt Pulver. Two years ago previous was our kickoff celebration featuring two men who will compete in singles action for the first time ever in just a few moments... Ultimo Pollo IV and the returning Luke Marshall. Lynx was on that very first card also, and he's teaming up with Orville Newton to battle the debuting Moondogs in tag action later on. Also on the bill is a bout with No Holds Barred! NEXUS vs. SANGRE!
SAM HEWITT
And the aforementioned AJ Knight, a former cruiserweight champion will be teaming up with Henry Yamazaki who longtime fans may remember as Mushigihara. Those two defeated SANGRE and NEXUS on 7/30 in South Bend to advance to the finals tonight where they will meet the Punch Line, Harv Norris and Rick Hull who bested Jeremy Squire and Crazy Boy in South Bend to stamp their ticket to the final here tonight. Up for grabs is a prize that the Punch Line are very familiar with - the tag team titles. They became the first champions after the titles were introduced in January of this year and held them 'til May at which point they were unseated by the unlikely duo of Mack Brody and Pollo Gigante. Unfortunately, the titles were vacated just over a month later and that brings us to tonight where that vacancy will be filled with this match.
BRIAN SHELZI
The key difference between that January night in Barrie and tonight here in Chicago though? Well, Roy Vezina - their captain - he's still out suspended. So it'll be the two youngest members of the group going it alone against two veteran competitors... but two veteran competitors that are not quite as seasoned a team as the Punch Line. It should be a good one.
SAM HEWITT
And of course, Brian, you mentioned Roy Vezina's suspension. It was a month ago tomorrow that Vezina sprayed Kalidah in the eyes with an unknown substance, blinding the heavyweight champion. We've been informed that Kalidah and his wife, Lotte have arrived and will speak on his future in professional wrestling later on in this program. In the meantime, let's send it to the Marvellous one...
We cut to the ring where Mason Marvelle is all duded up.
MASON MARVELLE
Ladies and gentlemen, your opening bout for the Anniversary Special is a LIGHTNING BOUT to be fought over a ten minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner! Introducing first...
"Chicken Bop" hits and the crowd erupts as the Pollovision screen reads ULTIMO POLLO IV! UP4 bounces out from the back and slaps hands with the fans, soaking in the adulation as Mason Marvelle announces him as "CHICAGO'S OWN!" which gets an even bigger pop. Of course, all this is cut short by Hollow King's "Fit for a King" and the crowd boos, then boos even more when LUKE MARSHALL's name appears on the screen. The 36 year old Australian comes walking out with a smug look on his face, then sneers at the crowds response. He slides into the ring.
Marshall extends a hand to Ultimo Pollo IV, but the Chicago native looks around to judge the response of the crowd... only for Marshall to attack him with a hellacious lariat! Pollo goes down and outside the ring, but Marshall is right out after him. He grabs Ultimo and hammers him with a forearm shot as he attempts to get back to his feet, sending the masked man staggering away. Marshall flips off the crowd and grabs Ultimo, stuffing him between his legs and grabbing around his waist...
PILE-NO!
Pollo backdrops him as the crowd roars in response! Ultimo grabs the bottom rope and recuperates briefly while Marshall stumbles back up, then gets grabbed and sent back inside the ring by UP4. Pollo climbs up onto the apron then ascends to the top. As Marshall gets back to his feet, Pollo flies off the top rope with a spinning heel kick! The 6'1"/214lbs Australian goes down while the 5'7"/190lbs Ultimo scurries to make a lateral press!

2-NO!
Marshall rolls onto his side and then his knees, trying to get back to his feet but gets grabbed in a rear waist hold. Marshall executes a standing switch, then ripcords Ultimo around into a knee to the gut! Marshall throws Ultimo's arm behind him and hoists him up for a vertical suplex... but he delays it... and delays it... and ULTIMO SLIPS DOWN!
SUNSET FLIP!

2-NO!
Marshall gets up aggravated and cuts Ultimo off, clubbing him with some forearms to the back to prevent him from getting back up. He then grabs him for a suplex again, but this time snaps him over. Ultimo retreats into the corner as Marshall sits up and takes a deep breath, shaking his head at the camera before getting back to his feet. He marches over to the corner and ignores referee Tubby Thomas, putting his foot right against Ultimo's face and bootscraping him! He then raises his arms and backs off at Thomas' request, allowing Ultimo to pull himself up in the corner. Marshall charges in, but misses Pollo by inches! Ultimo grabs him and tries to whip him into the opposite corner but gets reversed. Marshall lunges after him, but Ultimo greets him with a COCKSLAP! The running shotei! Marshall bumps to the mat and gets back up, eating a second one! Ultimo slingshots over the top rope to the apron, then comes back in...
SLINGSHOT SENTON!
Picture perfect! Ultimo adjusts Marshall and signals for the end, exiting to the apron and climbing up...
HENTON BO-
NO!
ONE!
HOME!
Pollo hits the mat hard, sitting up in pain as Marshall quickly gets back to his feet, grabs Pollo and spikes him into the mat with a Michinoku Driver! The Marshall Mk I... but he grabs Pollo by the mask and brings him back up to his feet rather than cover. He stuffs him between his legs...
GREEN AND GOLD BOMB!
The Last Ride powerbomb connects and Marshall puts both his legs over Ultimo's arm and shoves his lower body forward for extra leverage as Thomas counts 1-2-3! Marshall gets to his feet, gets his arm raised and points into the camera while mean mugging it.
SAM HEWITT
An impressive return for Luke Marshall, who hasn't been seen in Pollo Road rings since January 2023.
BRIAN SHELZI
He looks as good as ever! Always a very talented fighter, I was impressed how quickly he picked it up given his late start in the sport.
SAM HEWITT
Fans! Don't go away, we've got tag team action - the Moondogs vs. Lynx and Orville Newton right after this!
