*The camera opens to an empty arena, the ring standing silent and ready for the upcoming event. Veteran interviewer Sam Hewitt stands at ringside with a microphone in hand, ready to conduct an exclusive interview. Beside him stand "The Canadian Shield" Harv Norris and "Rocket" Rick Hull, looking smug and confident as they prepare for the upcoming tag team tournament.*
Sam Hewitt: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with "Rocket" Rick Hull and "The Canadian Shield" Harv Norris, former tag team champions who are getting ready for the first round of the tournament to crown new champions. Gentlemen, thank you for joining me.
Rick Hull: (smirking) Thanks, Sam. It’s good to be here, even if we have to deal with these pathetic fans.
Harv Norris: (in his thick Newfoundland accent) Aye, Sam, it’s always a pleasure, especially when we get to remind these fans why they should be grateful to see us in the ring.
Sam Hewitt: This event is the final stop before the Anniversary Special in August. Harv, Rick, you’ll be facing Crazy Boy and Jeremy Squire in the semi-final round. How are you preparing for this match?
Rick Hull: (sneering) We’re taking this match very seriously, Sam. But, Crazy Boy and Jeremy Squire are a joke. They’re going to wish they never stepped into the ring with us. We’ve been training hard because we know what’s at stake here. The tag team titles were vacated in June, and we’re ready to reclaim what’s rightfully ours.
Harv Norris: (grinning) Aye, those lads are no match for us. We’ve been workin’ our tails off, gettin’ ready to show everyone why we were the champions. This tournament is our chance to prove it again. Crazy Boy and Jeremy Squire are just the first victims.
Sam Hewitt: The other semi-final match will see Henry Yamazaki and AJ Knight facing SANGRE and NEXUS, a team put together by Dr. Victor Turing. What are your thoughts on the competition you might face in the finals?
Rick Hull: (with contempt) Henry Yamazaki and AJ Knight, SANGRE and NEXUS – it doesn’t matter who it is. They’re all just stepping stones on our path back to the top. We’re not looking past Crazy Boy and Jeremy Squire, but let’s be real, they’re just a warm-up.
Harv Norris: (nodding) Aye, Rick’s right. It doesn’t matter who’s standin’ across from us in the finals. We’ll be ready to take ‘em down and get those belts back. In the name of Gordie, we will win!
Sam Hewitt: This event is shaping up to be quite special, with not just the matches but also a meet and greet with Lynx, Orville Newton, and others. How important is it for you to connect with the fans, especially at such a pivotal event?
Rick Hull: (rolling his eyes) Connect with the fans? Please, Sam. These fans should be grateful to even see us in action. We don’t need their approval or their cheers. We’re here to win, and that’s all that matters.
Harv Norris: (smirking) Aye, the fans can cheer or boo, it makes no difference to us. We know we’re the best, and we don’t need their validation. We’re here to take back what’s ours, and no one can stop us.
Sam Hewitt: Any final words for Crazy Boy and Jeremy Squire before your match?
Rick Hull: (looking directly into the camera) Crazy Boy, Jeremy Squire – get ready, because The Punch Line is coming for you. We’re focused, we’re determined, and we’re taking those titles back. And if the fans don’t like it, too bad.
Harv Norris: (with a fierce grin) Aye, b’ys, get ready for a beatin’. We’re comin’ for those belts, and we’re not holdin’ back. The Punch Line is here to stay!
Sam Hewitt: Thank you, Rick and Harv. There you have it, folks – "Rocket" Rick Hull and "The Canadian Shield" Harv Norris, ready to reclaim their titles and prove once again why they’re the best tag team in Pollo Road. Don’t miss a second of the action on July 29th in South Bend, Indiana.
*The camera captures the smug expressions of Harv and Rick as they stand side by side, their bond as partners and friends evident. The screen fades out, leaving the anticipation of the upcoming event lingering in the air.*
