SAM HEWITT
We've got a tag team title bout headlining the program today. The cocky and feisty Punch Line, Roy Vezina and Harv Norris are going to compete against WAG1, Jin Hirai and Crazy Boy. Vezina and Norris were victorious in the Four Corner Survival back in November, which was to get them a tag team title shot at the World Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles. Unfortunately there was some issues getting the champions from Japan, or what have you - you can Google it - so the Punch Line were left without dance partners. Matchmaker Duke Womack isn't much of a believer in handing things over so he was ready to put the only other team in the building that night... WAG1 in against them.
BRIAN SHELZI
And this seems like the Punch Line had a hunch this could happen, as they tried to barricade WAG1's locker room that very night... so there's a bit of a grudge here at play but either way we're going to have a tag title bout tonight between two hungry teams.
SAM HEWITT
Let's send it to Mason Marvelle inside the ring.
MASON MARVELLE
Ladies and gentlemen, your opening contest for Open Road 2024... trios tag team action! Introducing the red corner, weighing in at a combined six hundred and eight pounds! The trio of "Dare' Devlin Masters, Sangre de Pollo and AJ Knight!
Each fighter responds in their own unique way. Masters riles the crowd, AJ leans against the turnbuckles while Sangre shakes his head at what he's been forced into.
MASON MARVELLE
Introducing the green corner, weighing in at a combined five hundred and sixty two pounds! The Patrimonio trio of Orville Newton, Lynx and Matt Pulver!
There is a much more cohesive response from this trio, as they acknowledge the fans' support and then show support to the man who is going to start the bout for them - Orville Newton!
MASON MARVELLE
Your referee for this bout is Gideon Dube!

AJ exits to the apron as Sangre and Masters get face to face about who's going to start, Masters gulps. Sangre backs him down and we're going to get Sangre vs. Orville to begin the match. The bell sounds and the two lock-up, Sangre tries to grab an arm but Orville does a forward roll. He then goes halfway back, lifting his legs up and grabbing Sangre by the neck with them. As Sangre releases the arm to try and pull his head free, Orville begins walking on his hands and spins around - headscissoring Sangre to the mat! Sangre springs back up to his feet and eats a drop toe hold! Newton tries to leap up into a side headlock, but Sangre grabs a hold of him in a waist hold and pivots, driving him into the rudo corner. Devlin Masters slaps Sangre on the back and jumps in.
BRIAN SHELZI
I don't know that I'd do that, but here comes Masters either way.
Masters comes in and clocks a defenseless Newton with a closed fist, drawing the ire of referee Gideon Dube. AJ Knight tags himself in and Masters, in the middle of getting admonished by Dube, yells "yo dude what the fuck!?" at AJ. AJ ignores him and smacks Newton with a European uppercut, sending him reeling into the ropes. AJ grabs Newton and goes to Irish whip him, but gets reversed and sent back into the ropes - just as Masters puts his knees on the top to bad mouth Dube! AJ tumbles over! Newton puts his hand over his mouth and apologizes, but Sangre spins him around and barks orders at Masters - who shimmies to the turnbuckle and jumps off! Unfortunately for Sangre, Newton breaks loose and Masters takes his partner out! Newton grabs Masters and throws him into Sangre and the two men fall through the ropes and to the floor! The tecnicos all meet in the middle of the ring and Newton motions to the outside, asking Pulver... and Pulver looks to the crowd and shrugs, "hey why not!?" and the duo do stereo tope suicidas onto Sangre and Masters! The crowd begins chanting LYNX! LYNX! LYNX! and he over exaggerates his sigh and grabs the top rope, leaping over onto AJ!
SAM HEWITT
Bodies flying everywhere! Pollo Road continues after the break!
[Yep, you got Raw'd.]
In lieu of a commercial, we get Duke Womack backstage.
DUKE WOMACK
I know I'm gonna ruffle a few feathers with this call, but it's the one that had to be made. El Cerdo Mostaza is banned from the building. I made a commitment to better Pollo Road and last month, we failed to deliver a title match that was promised. Tonight, we promised new tag team champions and I am going to ensure that happens - no matter what. El Cerdo Mostaza will get his opportunity for revenge, but tonight is not that night. If he so much as enters the building, his contract with Pollo Road will be null and void.
[We're back!]
We come back from break just as Newton makes the hot tag to Pulver, who comes in and dropkicks AJ - who immediately rolls out. Masters comes in and whiffs again, but Pulver's rolling elbow connects. Sangre batters Pulver from behind, then whips him into the ropes and cracks him with the rolling koppu kick! Pulver staggers and stumbles, but Sangre escorts him to the corner where he's smacked up with some midsection kicks. Sangre leaps up and wraps his legs around Pulver's head, squeezing tightly as Dube begins his five count. At three, Sangre releases and headscissors Pulver down to the mat! Pulver lands close to the ropes, so Newton reaches in and pulls him to safety. Lynx ascends the turnbuckles and leaps off, catching an unsuspecting Sangre with a crossbody block! He covers!

2-NO! BROKEN UP BY AJ!
Pulver runs back in and starts beating on Sangre, the bad blood from their HIJO showdown not forgotten. AJ grabs Lynx and executes a few European uppercuts before a knee to the gut, the camera is up close on the apron and AJ admits he has zero idea what to do in these fast paced matches... so he executes a quick snap suplex. To his credit, "Dare' Devlin Masters comes roaring in with a beautiful frog splash off the top rope! He tries to pin, but AJ is the legal man so the pin is negated. Masters starts barking at AJ, who shakes his head and leaves the ring for the auto tag - telling him "pin him now!" but Masters doesn't enjoy being told what to do, so he gets in AJ's face instead. Newton and Lynx switch places with the Brains grabbing Masters, pushing him into the ropes with an O'Connor Roll, but AJ tagged Masters. Newton is DDT'd as he tries to make the pin and AJ tries to follow up, but Masters shoves him out of the ring and tries to steal the pin. Dube begins counting, but that pinfall is interrupted by Sangre... who pulls Masters up and smacks him across the face! He grabs his "partner" and sends him into Lynx and Pulver on the floor, then blasts Newton with a running knee - La Pierna de Pollo!

It was wild and it was quick, but we have ourselves a winner...
BRIAN SHELZI
A team victory in name only, Sambo. Masters is out here losing his mind.
Indeed, Masters is yelling at anyone, everyone! Claiming that was his pinfall! Pulver and Lynx ignore him and check on their partner while Sangre exits and gets in his face, threatening to do even worse then pushes him into AJ. Masters and AJ have a silent exchange, then AJ smirks and shakes his head.
SAM HEWITT
Devlin Masters has just a couple months on his contract and while he's got a win here tonight on paper, he hasn't scored a direct fall over anyone... so until he does, there's a good chance there's no renewal.
BRIAN SHELZI
I mean, he could be cut at any time but he's a valuable asset for the teenage demo. The fact that Pollo Road is giving him a calendar year to achieve a victory is big, but he's going to have to do it if he wants to stay here.
Sangre stands tall and alone in victory as the show goes to break.
