With no news out of Japan on MAX-J's next event, the AJSWC is sending the World Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions METAL HERO and Earth Warrior to Canada on December 4th! The duo will defend their championship title in the only non-tournament match on the HIJO INVITATIONAL card. Their opponents will be decided this Friday night in Marquette, Michigan as part of our brand new DRIVE THRU events! The main event is a Four Corner Survival featuring Los Pollos, WAG1, the Punch Line and the Herkmen!
Also on the DRIVE THRU event, Rick Hull will make his debut opposite Orville Newton! The Punch Line's rookie will usurp Newton's claim as the youngest fighter to compete in Pollo Road, Orville Newton was 20 years - 11 months and 6 days while Hull will be 20 years - 4 months and 20 days for his first match! Rounding out the card is a veteran showdown between Lynx and Jin Hirai! The two have not competed in singles action, but Hirai holds a 2-1 record over Lynx in tag bouts.
In HIJO INVITATIONAL news, we have three confirmed participants out of the field of eight! With his recent medical clearance, Matt Pulver, the former Pollo Dorado II will enter the tournament in an attempt to defend his tournament win last year. MEZA, the tournament's runner-up will also compete as will the current cruiserweight kingpin AJ Knight! We will have more announcements about participants soon!
