SAM HEWITT
Beaming out of the Great Lakes, it's Wrestling from the Pollo Road! Welcome to the Drive Thru! I'm Sam Hewitt and today, we're serving up something a little bit different. Over the next thirty minutes you're going to see clips from some exclusive matches not seen anywhere else and we'll be showing a few interviews I've conducted since the Rotisserie Rumble. Without further adieu, let's take a look at a match that took place just a few short weeks ago at our stop in Rama, Ontario...
AJ Knight beat Orville Newton by pinfall in 5:43 with a DDT.
- Commentary on this one explained that Newton had challenged AJ Knight after the intermission at the Rotisserie Rumble, none too pleased about the way Knight had treated him during the Rumble itself. Newton showed off some great technical skill, explaining why he's been a sparring partner to Pollo Dorado II. However, AJ's craftiness took over and he began work on the leg. Newton thought himself to be in danger when AJ attempted the single leg crab, upkicking his way out of it and rolling backwards. However, it was a ruse - AJ hooked him and dropped him with a DDT to secure the win and add some momentum heading into SPRING CHICKEN.
Live in-studio we see AJ Knight sitting across from Sam Hewitt.
SAM HEWITT:
Ladies and gentlemen it is my pleasure to introduce the Rotisserie Rumble winner and #1 Contender, AJ Knight.
AJ flashes finger guns at everybody.
AJ KNIGHT:
Thanks for having me.
SAM HEWITT:
Now the big question everybody’s had lately, this new unit between yourself and David Troy, what brought this about?
AJ visibly chuckles.
AJ KNIGHT:
Common interest really. Back in 2018 David and I really got into it, in spite of having a common enemy in the WALL, the two of us could never really get on the same page. We both wanted to see the sport evolve unlike the WALL who wanted to drag the sport back to the 80s and 90s, because they were scared shitless they couldn’t keep up with the ever evolving world of wrestling. Frankly, that’s been one of the biggest recurring problems in wrestling. Old guys who won’t get with the times. David and I, along with the sage advice of Bastian Krull, are the solution to that problem.
SAM HEWITT:
Is that so?
AJ KNIGHT:
Absolutely. Iron sharpens iron my friend. We both understand the game is going to change. You can either face it head on and adapt, or you get left behind. The fundamentals never go out of style. Me and David are going to make this new breed face our old school sensibilities, the old tricks that are forgotten with time. They either adapt to it and get better, or they get lost. Either way the evolution of the sport continues.
Sam Hewitt shrugs and quickly changes gears.
SAM HEWITT:
Well this new philosophy has certainly served you well thus far as it’s set you up for a rematch with Pollo Dorado II, how do you feel going into this?
AJ KNIGHT:
I admit he took me by surprise last time. I was preparing for a Pollo the whole time. I should have been preparing for someone else entirely. Either way, I’m better prepared this time. I know things I didn’t back then.
Sam looks confused.
SAM HEWITT:
Such as?
AJ KNIGHT:
Let’s just say that there’s some things that he’s hiding which have changed my approach. This time I’m not only going to beat him. I’m going to pul--ah, nevermind.
A very pointed silence follows as AJ smirks. He looks at Sam Hewitt for the next question. Sam looks utterly perplexed.
SAM HEWITT:
Would you care to enlighten us about these secrets?
AJ’s smirk grows even bigger.
AJ KNIGHT:
“This above all: To thine own self be true. And it must follow as the night does the day, that you cannot then be false to any man.”
With this quote AJ gets up, smugly satisfied with his total non answer, having planted the seeds for the mind game. He leaves the set as we head to commercials.
David Troy beat Lynx by pinfall in 9:53 with an inside cradle.
- Both fighters are well versed veterans and this match certainly showed it. Lynx and Troy came to a stalemate a handful of times in the first few minutes of the match, respecting each other's efforts with applause. An inadvertent low blow by Troy during a clinch brought the heat to the match with Lynx battering his chest red with overhand slaps, then attempting to tie him in knots. Troy would escape and work his striking game as conservatively as possible, knowing Lynx could grab a limb at any moment. A push kick would shove Lynx back into the ropes, Troy acted as though a flying knee was his next move but instead grabbed an inside cradle and scored the three. After the bout Troy extended a fist, Lynx was a bit apprehensive but opted to do it.
Red Tiger King is shown in the back, pacing back and forth in front of a video monitor. He’s talking on his cell phone and is visibly shaking.
“What do you mean she’s disappeared? Joe, I asked you to keep her safe for me until I completed this.”
RTK pauses to listen to the person on the other line speak and shakes his head.
“I know, I know. I’m sorry. Please, Joe, find Sunfire. If anything happens to her…”
RTK hangs up and turns to face the wall. Letting out an angry scream, he punches it, putting his hand right through the drywall. As he pulls his fist back out, he’s approached by a woman with a microphone.
“Pardon me, sir. I’m Laura Heeley, on assignment with Pollo Road. I think we can all clearly see that your mind is elsewhere on other concerns, but I have to do my job here. After months of tormenting you with mind games and sneak attacks, Kalidah finally revealed himself for everyone to see at the Rotisserie Rumble. You two eliminated each other and fought all the way to the back. What are your plans to deal with this madman?”
Red Tiger King rubbed his bruised hand and tried to compose himself for a moment.
“Plans, Laura? You want to know what my plans are? I plan to kick his ass. That’s what my plans are! You all think this has been going on for a few weeks? It’s been years, Laura. Years! I’m not going to bore everyone with details about this man, if you don’t know who he is, go look him up. This man was once my mentor. Despite those close to me trying to warn me, I formed a relationship with him. I honestly thought he wasn’t the sociopath he once was back when this place was called Pollomania, but I tiger cannot change his stripes. I have lost friends because of him. My very ability to build and maintain long term relationships with individuals has been affected by the torment he has unleashed on my life.”
He grabbed the microphone out of Laura’s hand and stared hard into the camera.
“Eli, Kalidah, whatever you want to call yourself these days, I’m sick of you and I’m sick of your games. You want me? Come get me! ‘Spring Chicken’ is only two weeks away. I want you in the ring, one on one. I don’t care what kind of match it is. I don’t care about the rules. At ‘Spring Chicken’ I will end you, or die trying. Do you hear me? I will bury you!”
His rant is halted by the sound of static. Both RTK and Laura Heeley turn to face the monitor as it suddenly turns on. Over the static the sound of a hammer clanging can be heard and a sweet voice begins to sing.
“I’m a spring chicken.
I’m yellow and small.
My feathers are fluffy
And they keep me warm.
My legs are are not long
So I’ll never be tall.
But I’m a spring chicken
And I’m having a ball.”
The hammer clangs in beat with the song. When it’s done, the voice cackles and the screen flickers to life. A porcelain-masked woman appears on the screen. He white mask glows in the dark. She waves at the screen and giggles. A name appears at the bottom of the screen: Lotte.
“Oh my lovely boy. Not so little anymore are you? Look at you, so big and strong. It is so nice to see you again. I wonder if you’ve missed me as much as I have you, Akihiko. It’s such a pity that you haven’t found his little jokes funny so funny, my lovely. My sweet, lovely boy, Kalidah has only been playing with you so far. He didn’t want to hurt. No, not at all. Not at all."

The words hang...
“You say that my lovely Kalidah has been tormenting you, and yet you are the one who antagonized him first. You came to Pollo Road, you wore his mask, and you all but made mention of him before one of your matches. Did you not think he wouldn’t take notice? Did you not think he wouldn’t come to play with you again? No my lovely, sweet prince, you did this to yourself. Know this, everything that happens now is because of you. You opened Pandora’s box and there is no way to close it again, but there is another box that can be closed. Oh yes, my lovely, a box that can be shut and never be opened again.”
The sound of the hammer clanging grew louder. Lotte turns and looks at something off screen. She turned back and seemed to beckon to those watching to follow her as she walked away. Slowly the view on screen changed and Kalidah was shown leaning over a large wooden object. He was hammering nails into it.

There was no mistaking what it was.
The size, the shape.
It was a coffin!
Lotte reappeared, caressing Kalidah’s back. She took a moment to glide a hand across the top of the coffin and laughed once more.
“What was it that you said, my lovely. ‘I will end you, or die trying’? Very well, my lovely. Very well. On March 20th, my lovely, lovely Kalidah challenges you to a Coffin Match. The only way to win is by putting the other in this lovely vessel and slamming the top shut, locking their victim inside with all their sorrows and regrets as they slowly suffocate in complete darkness, doesn’t that sound lovely?”
Behind Lotte and Kalidah, another coffin is shown leaning against the wall. A barely audible voice could be heard from inside and the coffin rattled as whoever inside banged against it, pleading to be let out. Lotte rubs a hand across the coffin and looks straight at the screen.
“But if you don’t believe me, why don’t you ask this one. I’m sure she can tell you all about it.”
Red Tiger King is shown backing away from the screen. He pulls out his phone.
“Joe? Joe, I know where she is. They have her locked up in a coffin in the boiler room. She’s down in the boiler room!”
RTK runs off, apparently in the direction of the boiler room. Laura Heeley calls for help and runs off after him, with several others following behind them both. Still on screen, Lotte and Kalidah stand there staring forward. Lotte blows a kiss and winks at everyone watching. She raises up a remote control and points it at the screen.
“Oh this is going to be SO MUCH FUN! See you all soon.”
She presses a button and everything goes black.
