Established in 2022, the Hijo Invitational is a single elimination tournament that is designed to honour the legacy of the late El Hijo de Pollo and determine the strongest cruiserweight fighter in Pollo Road. Assuming the reigning cruiserweight champion doesn't also win the tournament, the eventual winner becomes top contender for a shot at the title.
