MASON MARVELLE
Ladies and gentlemen, this bout is to be fought over a ten minute time limit with one fall, one submission or a knockout to decide the winner. Introducing first, from Parts Unknown! He weighs in at one hundred and sixty five pounds... CRAZY BOY!

CB jumps onto the second rope and backflips off.

His opponent from Tokyo, Japan! He weighs in at two hundred and five pounds... RED TIGER KING!

RTK bows in response. 

MASON MARVELLE
Your referee for this bout is Ted Thomas.

Our match begins with a tie-up, RTK muscles Crazy Boy down to the mat with a grounded side headlock.  Crazy Boy is on his back, but does not stay there for long as he wraps his legs around King's head and pulls himself free.  RTK now finds himself trapped in the headscissors, but rotates around until he's on his feet and somersaults forward, getting out of the hold and back into the side headlock in one smooth motion.  Crazy Boy gets back up to a vertical base despite being in the hold, he shoots RTK off into the ropes and ducks a lariat attempt on the rebound.  He grabs RTK's arm instead, slaps his chest and rushes up the turnbuckles with his opponent's hand still held.  He falls to a seated position onto the top rope, but bounces back up and springs both feet off the top rope - launches himself into a tijeras that sends RTK down to the mat.  Crazy Boy runs and delivers a baseball slide, kicking RTK out underneath the bottom rope and to the floor.  Crazy Boy taunts the crowd, letting us know that he's crazy by swirling his finger around his temple area.  He sprints across the ring, leaps up onto the turnbuckle and tornillos out...

INTO A DROPKICK!

RTK rolls Crazy back inside the ring, but the high-flyer is back up quickly.  RTK forces him to eat a chop, then pushes him against the ropes and shoots him out.  King drops down on all fours, trying to trip up Crazy who just somersaults over it and lands on his feet.  He turns around and tries to kick RTK, but the Tiger King sweeps his base leg out and he falls flat on his back.  King covers but it's a quick kick out.  RTK grabs Crazy and chickenwings his arms, looking for a tiger suplex... but a lift attempt results in Crazy Boy going up... then forward and RTK ends up in the bottom of a cradle pin!

NO!

Crazy Boy stands up and stomps on RTK's face, drawing some boos from the Minnesota crowd.  He runs and leaps onto the second rope, moonsaulting off of them...

NO ONE HOME!

RTK grabs him as he's holding his stomach in pain, chickenwings the arms again...

He dumps Crazy on his head and gets right back up, applies another double chickenwing and slams him down with a second suplex... but this time holds it.

RTK rolls out and slaps a couple fans hands as he heads to the back.  Jin Hirai climbs into the ring and checks on Crazy Boy. 

Marshall is staring daggers through Lynx.

Lynx does a couple squats after Thomas checks him over.

The "Tubby" call echoes for Thomas.

The bell sounds and Marshall charges, drilling Lynx with a knee to the body.  With Lynx backed up against the ropes, Marshall continues using his strong legs to punish the masked man's sternum.  When prompted to cease doing so by Thomas, Marshall backs off momentarily and gets slapped in the chest by Lynx but this only serves to infuriate "The New" as he tries to elbow Lynx, but gets caught with a knee to HIS sternum.  Marshall doubles over as Lynx pounds away on his back with clubs of his own, then stomps as he's driven to the mat.  Lynx holds his foot across the throat of Marshall and waits until four to release.  This creates some separation for the first time in this bout, but it doesn't last long.  Thomas is admonishing Lynx, telling him he will card him if he tries that again.  Marshall charges, but Lynx shoves Thomas aside and back drops him.  Marshall lands on the apron and quickly gets back up, Lynx tries to bring him back inside but Marshall cheap shots him with a knee to the head.  Lynx falls back into the ring and Marshall gets back in himself, he grabs Lynx and sizes him up for a punch... and drills him!

Lynx falls down and Marshall shoves him out of the ring with a kick! Marshall follows him out and grabs the mask, tearing it as he pounds his fist into his head.  He pulls him up and Irish whips him into the guardrail, Marshall yells at the fans - "move, ye cunts!" - as he grabs Lynx and sends him over the guardrail.  The section clears out pretty quickly as Marshall steps over the barricade himself, grabs Lynx and hip tosses him onto a row of chairs! Marshall celebrates the move with some taunts, asking MEZA where he is and jabbering with random fans who are chirping him.  Marshall turns his attention back to Lynx who smacks him on the chest with a palm strike again, Marshall winces as he turns away.  Lynx then charges him and lariats him and himself back over the guardrail!

Marshall and Lynx both get up, separate from each other and head back to the ring as Thomas has begun the ten count.  Lynx gets in first, but Marshall slides in and immediately bowls Lynx over with a tackle.  He quickly grabs him up, stuffs him between his legs and delivers a piledriver! Marshall sits back after the impact and looks around at the crowd, Thomas admonishes him for not trying to win the match but it's brushed off by the Australian.  Marshall goes over and picks Lynx up, throwing him back into the corner before charging in...

LYNX GETS HIS KNEES UP!

His lariat attempt foiled, Marshall once again tries to charge but Lynx moves out of the way and school boys Marshall - but rolls his body on top of Marshall's legs for added leverage!

Lynx grabs Marshall in a rear waist hold, trying to bring his arm back into a hammerlock but a standing switch occurs.  It may have been the plan all along as Lynx easily takes Marshall's arm in a double wristlock and rolls down to the mat - taking the rugby star with him.  With the grounded double wrist lock applied, Marshall does his best to ensure that Lynx doesn't get his leg wrapped around his neck or else it's truly game over for the Australian.  Marshall tries to get his leg close to the bottom rope, but Lynx grabs it and bends it up to Marshall's thigh! Unfortunately for Lynx and fortunately for Marshall, the masked Mexican can't keep his leg tied up like that for long without sacrificing the effectiveness of the wrist lock.  After repeatedly yelling "NO!" in response to Thomas' asking about giving up, Marshall finally gets his leg draped across the bottom rope.

Lynx tries to pull Marshall up, but gets shoved away and the Australian retreats to the corner.  Lynx tries to get back at it, but Thomas intercepts him.  Lynx and the referee get into an argument and Marshall sprints from the corner like a Freight Train, bowling over Lynx and knocking Thomas down in the process.  He grabs Lynx in a rear waist hold and slaps on a choke! He wraps his strong legs around Lynx's torso and the masked man taps!

Thomas is down!

Marshall looks over, watching Thomas regain his bearings but doesn't yell for him.  Thomas sees what's going on and springs into action, checking on Lynx... who's passed out and calls for the bell.  Marshall holds onto it for a few seconds more before releasing it.  Thomas tries to raise his arm, but Marshall rolls out in a huff.  He stops at ringside and looks back, contemplating... but decides to walk on, but tells the camera that MEZA is still on his mind.  He stops again, turns back to the ring and decides to march down...

No MEZA, but a slew of dojo students block the Australian's path to the ring and he tells them in no uncertain terms that he isn't afraid, he'd bowl through every one of them.

However, he tells him to be thankful and turns around, heading to the back. 

Applause.

Seemingly nervous, MEZA simply drops down and adjusts his boots.

Shinobu raises his arm and bows in response to his warm reaction.

Troy doesn't break from his stretching routine.

Ojima nods and exits to the apron.

"TUBBY!" is shouted by the crowd as he waves.  Marvelle comes over and takes the cover off the championship belt, showing everyone the PMLL World's Cruiserweight Championship for the first time. 

Referee Ted Thomas calls for the opening bell as David Troy exits to the ring apron, leaving Takashi Shinobu and MEZA inside the ring.  There's a show of respect to start things off as the two shake hands.  Shelzi points out that only a year separates their debut, but Shinobu has much more on his resume.  A lock-up starts things out, but it's a quick go behind by MEZA that leads to a struggle in the rear waist hold.  MEZA, though much smaller, is quite skilled at using his lack of size to his advantage (...nice) and trips Shinobu up and immediately hops into a front chancery.  Shinobu is quick though, maneuvering out of it with an arm wringer that brings both men back to their feet.  MEZA rolls forward, then uses his foot to unlock his arm from the wringer and turns the tides on Shinobu! Not for long though, Shinobu back flips and reverses it again! MEZA weaves himself out once more, then applies a side headlock.  Shinobu tries to use his size to hoist him up, but MEZA applies the right kind of pressure and brings him down with a takeover.  MEZA tries to isolate the arm, but Shinobu is already ascending back to a vertical base.  Shinobu backs him up into the ropes and uses his size to shove him off, MEZA rebounds off and rolls underneath a big boot.  MEZA gets up and shakes his finger, Mutombo style! Shinobu rewards his cockiness with a takedown, then tries to follow up with an elbow drop but catches nothing but mat as MEZA rolls away.  Shinobu gets up and charges right into an arm drag, MEZA pops up and delivers a second one! Shinobu backs off as he staggers up for the third time, MEZA does a forward handspring... and we're at a stand off. 

Neither man tags out and neither man on the apron is looking to get in just yet as the two legal participants circle around.  They lock-up and Shinobu backs MEZA into the ropes and whips him out.  He tries for a lariat, but MEZA ducks and leaps onto the second rope...

COFFIN DROP!

He throws his body at Shinobu as he turns around, then gets up, bounces off the ropes and clobbers him with a sliding lariat as he's attempting to get back up.  With Shinobu doubled over, MEZA grabs a rear waist hold and pulls him up to his feet.  He turns, positioning himself proper for a German suplex... but Shinobu executes a standing switch.  MEZA tries to fight it, but can't break loose.  Shinobu lifts him up and throws, but MEZA lands on his feet after a back flip.  Shinobu tries to catch him off guard with a laria--

FLYING CROSS ARMBREAKER!

DEAD CENTRE OF THE RING!

Shinobu is trying to stretch his legs out to the ropes, frantically searching...

HE TAPS!

Shinobu rolls out of the ring clutching his arm.  MEZA quickly takes notice and flashes glances at both Ojima and Troy, as though he's expecting to be jumped.  Referee Ted Thomas informs them that one of 'em needs to enter the match, but the veterans are staring each other down... seeing who will bite first.  MEZA shrugs and rolls out of the ring.

Both men can't hide their chuckles at being "outsmarted" by the younger fighter as they climb inside.  They get right up into each other's face and trade some words, a sense of respect between them even though there's no handshakes.  The fans clap in anticipation, Ojima gives Troy a shove but the three time World's Heavyweight Champion isn't about to let that get under his skin.  Troy asks if they're gonna go and Ojima nods... so they lock-up.  Ojima looks to have the early advantage as he backs Troy up a couple steps, but Troy pulls out a side headlock and quickly spins around into a hammerlock and then a drop toe hold to complete the Kazama Special.  Troy gets up and smacks Ojima on the back of the head and backs up, smirking as Ojima gets up unimpressed by that turn of events.  They lock-up again, once more a side headlock finds Ojima but he quickly shoots Troy off into the ropes.  Ojima immediately cuts him off with a knee, sending Troy up and over and back down to the mat.  Ojima drops down, clutching the knee as MEZA looks on from just feet in front of him.  The two make eye contact and Ojima says something in Japanese.  MEZA's eyes don't break though.

Ojima gets up and boots Troy in the side as he's getting back up, still winded.  Troy crashes into the corner and Ojima continues laying the boots to him, he breaks for Thomas' five count and Troy grabs the top rope and pulls himself up.  Ojima comes back and waylays him with a knife edge chop, then a second before unleashing a barrage.  He cracks him with an elbow to end the sequence and Irish whips the dizzy Dynamite into the opposite corner.  Ojima slaps his knee and rushes in...

RUNNING BIG BOOT!

Troy cuts him off at the pass and cracks the Stone Gargoyle with a boot to the face! Ojima stumbles down to his knees and tries to find reprieve in the corner, but Troy chases him down and gives him a receipt for the earlier corner strikes with some body kicks.  He then slaps him a couple times before applying a headlock and rushes forward...

BULLDOG!

Ojima hits the mat hard and rolls away, MEZA grabs him from outside the ring and pulls him out - making himself the legal man.

MEZA gets in as Troy gets up, a bit winded.  They trade some inaudible words, seemingly respectful in nature.  MEZA invites him to strike first and Troy says OK! before laying in with a kick to the body.  MEZA instantly regrets it as he doubles over, Troy grabs him and tries to swing him into the neckbreaker but MEZA rolls through it and arm drags Troy! Troy and MEZA get up simultaneously, MEZA runs right into a kick and eats a facebuster! MEZA pops up momentarily, holding his face... Troy takes action.

OKLAHOMA ROLL!

NO!

MEZA is given no breathing room as a winded Troy applies a side headlock on the New Mexico native before he can get back up.  It's not long before MEZA is fighting back up to his feet though, and begins to elbow his way free.  He breaks loose after four elbows and runs to the ropes, bounces off... ducks a lariat but grabs the arm...

FLOATOVER DDT!

Both men are down! MEZA rolls onto his stomach and crawls toward the ropes, looking to get back up while Troy slowly rolls toward the apron.  Ojima grows impatient and climbs in the ring anyway, booting Troy out and then attacks MEZA from behind! He gets MEZA situated, clubbing him with several forearms to the back.  He stands him up and whips him into the ropes, he doubles over but MEZA rolls across his back.  Ojima turns around...

SPINNING BACK FIST!

Ojima staggers, stumbling and landing against the second rope.  He tries to use it to reach the corner turnbuckles as MEZA exits the ring on the adjacent side.  MEZA looks around for Troy, but sees a better opportunity... and dashes across the ring apron and somehow executes a tiger feint kick around the corner post and blasts Ojima in the face with his shins.  Ojima falls back into the centre of the ring and MEZA quickly ascends the turnbuckles...

FLYING CROSS BODY!

He covers!

MEZA grabs Ojima's leg and kicks him in the back of the thigh a couple times, then tries to cross the legs but Ojima's free leg rears back and upkicks MEZA into the ropes.  David Troy makes the quickest blind tag you'll probably see in this match as MEZA doesn't even seem to know what just happened.  Ojima rolls out just before MEZA can get back to him, making MEZA legal again by default.  Troy taps MEZA on the shoulder, who spins around looking for an elbow strike... but Troy ducks it and spins, nailing the Tornado Fang throat thrust! MEZA goes down coughing, Troy grabs him in a rear waist hold and...

DEEP~!

GERMAN SUPLEX!

HOLD!

NO!

MEZA groggily crawls back to a vertical base as Troy sizes him up for his next move.  He charges...

SHINING AXE KIC-NO!

MEZA grabs the leg and clutches onto it for dear life as he stands up, Troy hangs precariously and tries to use his free leg to fix this situation.  MEZA wraps his arms around the leg and crouches.

The over-the-shoulder crab, or Stretch Muffler, has David Troy in a bad way! Troy is trying to claw his way to the ropes as MEZA attempts to clasp his hands together to increase the effectiveness of the hold.  Troy is just stubborn enough to keep inching forward, but Reo Ojima hurriedly makes his way to the side that Troy is getting closer to and pulls the bottom rope back.  Troy reaches for it, but comes up with a handful of nothing! With the passion and determination of a former World's Champion, Troy digs his fist into the mat and reaches up for the second rope...

He doesn't get it!

MEZA falls over! He's saved! Troy rolls away, clutching his leg in pain as MEZA sits on his rear breathing heavy.  Ojima drops back down to his knee, holding his arms on the apron to keep an eye on the action.

MEZA looks around, surveying the scene before getting up.  Troy is only on one knee, still trying to pull himself up in the corner.  MEZA swoops in and lifts him up onto his shoulders and drops him onto the top turnbuckle, climbs up behind him and clubs him in the back of the head.  He turns around and hooks both arms, lifting him into a crucifix as the crowd goes dead quiet.

AVALANCHE STYL---

HE COUNTERS IT!

HURACANRANA!

BUT THE MOMENTUM CARRIES THEM THROUGH! MEZA WITH A SUNSET FLI-

TROY BACK ROLLS! DIVES FORWARD!

JACKKNIFE PIN!

The crowd is electric here in Minneapolis as Troy's bridge fails a second later and he collapses on MEZA, who shoves him off in frustration and dips.  Troy rolls onto his side, looking directly into the camera... and he smiles through the obvious pain.  Reo Ojima storms into the ring and drops a knee on the leg, Troy yells out in pain as the Stone Gargoyle begins stomping away at it.  Troy rolls out of the ring and falls to the ground, he tries to get up but Ojima is on his trail.  The crowd is in full support of Troy, wanting to see him win another title in front of them.  Troy gets back inside the ring and manages to stagger up to his feet, saved only by the "methodical" pace of Ojima as he climbs back inside. 

Troy is a wounded fox, Ojima smells blood and smiles the most wicked smile before chuckling.  Troy's on the defensive, but Ojima isn't rushing in and the crowd is a bit agitated by this.  Troy decides to play with fire, yelling at him to kill him.  Ojima nods, coldly and lurches forward, trying a palm strike.  Troy dodges it easy and tries to circle out, Ojima doesn't put up much resistance to it.  Ojima kicks at the leg, but it's obvious the kick is just a mind game as he steps forward with another palm strike attempt.  Troy side steps it and batters Ojima with several of his own, knocking him against the ropes.  Troy finishes off the sequence, kneeing Ojima with the bad wheel.  He limps away, not exactly regretting as Ojima is down on his ass with Thomas checking him out.  The referee tells Ojima he's starting the count as Troy drops to a knee on the other side of the ring.  Ojima is up at four and ready to go, Troy tries to get up and put pressure on the leg but it's a losing battle. 

Ojima's up and a bit angrier than before.  You might ask how you'd be able to tell, but I don't really know the answer myself.  Ojima slices his thumb across his throat and marches forward.  Troy delivers a quick kick, attacking the knee that Ojima favoured earlier.  Ojima grunts in response and Troy attacks it again, Ojima palm strikes him backwards and closes the gap with a clinch but they're in the ropes.  Thomas intervenes and as Ojima backs up, he kicks Troy in the bad leg.  Thomas yells at him, giving him a yellow card.  He warns Ojima that he needs to stay back because if Troy can't continue after an illegal blow, the match is over and he's DQ'd! Ojima more or less shrugs and backs up, fixing his knee pad.  Thomas reiterates this to Troy, who immediately tries to get back up and refuses to take a victory like that. 

Ojim-

BLAZING STAR KNEE STRIKE!

The seldom seen these days busaiku knee strike blasts Ojima unexpectedly, knocking him back into the ropes.  He's seated on the middle rope, dazed and confused but Troy is writhing in pain on the mat.  Thomas quickly checks on him, then checks on Ojima - Ojima nods in response to the question - Thomas is back on Troy and Ojima is still nodding.  Troy is refusing to quit and crawls across the mat to the corner, pulling himself up but as soon as he moves away from the corner - he falters.  He uses the rope to catch himself and goes hand over hand, across the ring to where Ojima is.  He grabs Ojima and pulls him up, applying a front chancery to balance hi--

BACK DROP!

Ojima dumps him over! Both men are immediately trying to get back up, but Ojima beats Troy to his feet and scoops him up.  He tries for the running power slam, but Troy slips out - his knee buckles.  Down on one knee as Ojima turns back around, the Stone Gargoyle charges and spears the crap out of him! Ojima gets back on his hands and knees, climbing up using the ropes as Troy still won't stay down.  Ojima stays put, watching as Troy tries to get up on his bad leg with his back turned...

ENZUI LARIAT!

The lariat to the back of the head sends Troy down to the mat in an instant and Ojima wastes no time, rolling him over and covering!

Ojima rolls off and lays on the mat next to Troy, the fans can do nothing but applaud the ending sequence and effort of both men.  Super Pollo, the representative of Pollo Bucket and the PMLL sanctioning body enters the ringside area and hands the title to Ted Thomas, who brings it to Reo Ojima.  He looks up and grabs it, squints and puts it down beside him.  He rolls over and out of the ring, dropping the belt in the process.  A stage hand picks it up for him and tries to hand it back, but Ojima tells him to carry it as they make their way to the back, dodging more stage hands trying to give him a trophy and a check.  Meanwhile, Troy rolls onto his stomach and gets up under his own power to the applause of the crowd.  He bows, falling to his knee again.
