5. Laurentian League: BOB [5] beat Owen Daniels [2] by pinfall (7:51) after a diving headbutt.
Second generation star Owen Daniels continues to impress, but the impressions aren't putting anything in the Win column. He fought hard against brawling big man BOB, but ultimately fell victim to the Green faced Goliath's diving headbutt. After recovering, he gave Riel Buck a shove and hightailed it before BOB could get him.
Former MMA fighter Marc Boisvert gained a measure of revenge in the trios match, avenging his pinfall loss to Pierre the Masked Canuck by tapping him out with a choke! Pierre got on the mic after the match and said he'd be happy to take on Boisvert in singles action! Boisvert grabbed a mic and told Pierre, in French, that he'd squish him like a bug!
Drew Dream remains unbeaten through four matches, but so too does AJ Knight. The two men are neck and neck with each other as we head into Week 3 of the League. Dream has Owen Daniels while AJ Knight has Joey Bailey on 5/26 then face either on 5/28. Daniels and Bailey might look like easy tasks based on their position in the standings, but anyone can play a spoiler in such a tournament.
