This week, Saturday Night Story opens up in front of a Shining Road backdrop. Dusty Strauss smiles, welcoming us to the program but is quickly interrupted by a redheaded stranger. Riel Buck as he is introduced by Strauss is coming to Shining Road, saying that when one road closes, another opens. Strauss doesn't think that's how the quote goes, but Buck shakes his head and says that when Dusty and the rest of the geek squad see what he's bringing with him... they'll let him say whatever he wants.

1. Masked Hysteria #1, Masked Hysteria #2 & Kid Ego beat True North Ant, Philly Cheese Snake & Pierre the Masked Canuck (25:54) when Ego pinned Canuck.
Strauss narrates the clip, telling fans that Masked Hysteria laid out an open challenge for 5/5 in Halifax that was accepted by Strange Brew of True North Ant & Philly Cheese Snake. Hysteria hit their tandem powerbomb/lariat on Pierre but are railroaded by the aforementioned Strange Brew and the four men brawl on the outside. Kid Ego looks around, now the de facto legal man as a result of the automatic tags and rushes in, covering Pierre and scoring the three count! Silas Stern raises his arm and Ego is ecstatic, jumping up and down as the two teams continue brawling on the outside.
Kid Ego joins Dusty Strauss after the clip finishes and laughs! He says that all the people who doubted him, all the haters... they can kiss his ass because he showed them that hard work pays off. Strauss notes that Ego didn't really do any work to secure that pin and that Masked Hysteria did all the dirty work, but Ego disagrees! He says that if pins were easy, they'd be happening left and right. No one asks how someone got pinned, they just look at the WIN column. He shouts Strauss down after he remarks that it must be nice to have something in that column after four events. Ego says Drew Dream, Devon Moore and especially Kid Nova were all flukes and to prove it, he wants to go one on one with Nova! Strauss says he'll see what they can do and sends Ego on his way.

2. Kid Nova beat Devon Moore by pinfall (6:06) with a shooting star press.
A snap-style Dragon suplex from Moore is too close to the ropes as Nova gets his foot over the bottom rope and gets Robbie Morris' attention. Moore yanked Nova's foot off the ropes and tried for a second cover, but a kick out after two was the result of that. Moore dragged Nova to his feet, delivering a few knees in the clinch as he backed Kid Nova into the corner. After a few more knees, the Straight Bullet lifted Nova up onto the top rope. Nova is then picked up sideways as the Bullet looks for his moonsault fallaway slam, but the Kid is able to break free with some elbows to the head. Moore stumbles off the ropes and into the middle of the ring, Nova wows the crowd as he leaps from his perch on the intersection of the ropes, onto the top rope and superkicks an unsuspecting Moore! He then quickly gets back up, climbs to the top rope and nails a shooting star press! Strauss tells us that he calls it the Star Shooter and it gets the three!
Kid Nova is now with Strauss and keeps it short and sweet, saying he heard what Ego had to say and would love to beat him again.
Strauss announces that Shining Road has signed a veteran junior heavyweight in Bryan Blaze, noting that he was a two-time World Champion in Mainstream Wrestling. He will make his debut on May 5th in Halifax, Nova Scotia - his home province! His opponent will be Devon Moore! A short video clip of him in action in Mainstream Wrestling plays, ending with him executing his finishing move - the Heatwave, a springboard enzuigiri.

3. Drew Dream beat Felix Bingham by pinfall in 13:02 after a running knee strike.
Dream has a rear waist hold on Felix as we join in progress and the Big Cat is trying to get back to his feet from his knees, but wisely Dream switches into a side Russian leg sweep and brings him back down to the mat with an Octopus stretch applied. Unfortunately for him, they are far too close to the ropes for this to be considered an effective submission and Dream has to relinquish the hold just as soon as he slapped it on. As they two get back up, Dream tries to catch him off guard with a jumping hip attack but it results in an easy go-behind from the youngster. He picks Drew up and puts him down on the mat with a rear waist hold, then transitions into a north-south front chancery and wrenches it in tight. Dream's face is being stuffed into the mat so he has to use his legs to find the ropes and do so successfully. A frustrated Bingham knees him after the break, earning a warning from Silas Stern and to his credit, Bingham puts his hands up and apologizes but goes after Dream as soon as he gets back up...
BACK BODY DROP!
The big man hits the mat with a thump, Dream charges off the ropes and a running knee strike is all he needs to seal the deal and put another L on the Cat's record!
We come back to the studio where Felix Bingham stands tall over Strauss, who is on record as 5'9" so Bingham has nine inches in height on him at 6'6". Strauss asks him about his string of bad luck and Bingham doesn't know what to tell him, admitting he's been pretty frustrated about the whole thing lately. He tells DS that he's been athletically gifted all his life, but that he hasn't been able to get things to click in professional wrestling. He's tried to work things out with his trainers but wonders if he needs to try a different approach.
He walks off just as Drew Dream comes into the scene, lollipop in hand. He offers one to Strauss who politely declines, but asks the 42 year old about his time so far in Shining Road and how he's seemingly flown under the radar with all the moving parts around him. Dream smiles big and says he loves it here! He's happy! Strauss leads him into talking about the Heavyweight division, holding up a printed report about SR signing Justin Seville. Dream doesn't know who that is... but he sounds mean. Masked Hysteria? Strauss asks, Dream says they're scary. Strange Brew? Dream thinks they're funny! Strauss closes up the segment asking if he has any goals and Dream simply replies that he wants to win and make friends along the way! As he walks away, Strauss wonders if success and friendship can exist simultaneously.
Who hurt you, Dusty?

4. Masked Hysteria #1 & Masked Hysteria #2 beat Joey Bailey & JT Sheppard (9:49) when #1 pinned Sheppard following a lariat/powerbomb combination.
Strauss tells the viewers that Masked Hysteria are a well oiled machine out there and says that while there are ways to determine which is #1 and which is #2, it might be difficult for referees and opponents to do so effectively in the heat of the moment. There are no such shenanigans in this bout, the duo isolate young JT Sheppard in their corner and do some quick tags in and out before #1 gets up on the middle rope and lariats JT from #2's grasp into a powerbomb! #2 gets up and clobbers Bailey as he's coming in and #1 makes the cover!

Masked Hysteria joins Dusty Strauss and says they've come to Shining Road to kick ass and take names, but questions if there are any NAMES in this company! Strauss mentions Strange Brew accepting their challenge and the tandem rub their hands together, #1 gleefully says that they are looking forward to squishing the ant and devouring the cheese steak. Dusty corrects him, saying it's cheese SNAKE and #2 tells him that's even better - they'll skin him and eat him!
Strauss ends the broadcast by reminding fans that tickets are still on sale in Rimouski and Halifax for 5/4 and 5/5 respectively! Don't miss it!
