The scene opens up in an empty locker room, the lights are off as we look around before settling on one locker in particular. The plaque on it reads 'MARSHALL, Luke. No. 22. Center.', and as we read the plaque, a voice begins to speak.
"You know... life is... strange. It doesn't always go the way you want it to. It's... life is a mysterious thing... I didn't always wanna be a wrestler. This... where we are right now... is where I wanted to be."
The voice draws closer and closer towards the camera, before we are finally able to see who it was talking... 'The New' Luke Marshall.
"This spot right here... they kept it for me. They kept my locker the same way ever since I got the sack. This was where I heard the news that my career in Rugby was over. It's where I lead this team to the semi finals in twenty eleven. I did... everything... for this club... and what did I get in return?"
Marshall sits down at his locker, looking at the camera.
"I got my marching orders... I was too old. I wasn't needed anymore. I gave my life to this club, and the thanks I get in return? 'Fuck off. We got four new players in that can replace you.'... Shit hurt. Then I found the world of professional wrestling. I found Lions Road. I found the place I'd call home... then... and then... I'd take some time off. What do I get when I return? Someone else has taken my place... I got replaced and no one batted a fucking eye. I spiraled. Loss after loss after loss after loss after fucking loss. I realized what I had been doing wrong all this time. I needed to do this for myself. I needed to do what I needed to do to further my career... gone were the days that I was used as a stepping stone. Gone were the days that I just brushed peoples comments about me off. Here to stay are the days that Luke Fucking Marshall will do whatever he needs to do to get what he deserves... recognition. Credibility. RESPECT... enter Lynx and his stupid cunt protégé MEZA. I was FINGERTIPS from being where I wanted to be. I was fingertips from getting the recognition I have fucking earned... the recognition I WOULD'VE gotten if Pollo Dorado wasn't such a fucking coward and retired before I got my hands on him and ended his career. So... that leads me to you, Lynx."
Marshall stands up out of his chair, and the camera rises up so it remains focused on his face.
"That leads me to what I'm going to do to you at Golden Road. All signs are pointing to Minneapolis... where I will do whatever the fuck it is that I need to do... to right the wrong. To get myself back on track... to give myself the platform to get the respect I deserve from everyone, regardless of if I'll end up the World's Cruiserweight Champion or not... Lynx... I am going to end you career. I'm going to rip your stupid fucking mask to shreds and spit in your face, I'm going to treat you with the lack of respect that you treat a two dollar hooker with, the same lack of respect that everyone else has been treating me with... why am I going to do this?"
Luke chuckles.
"Because, Lynx... I'm finally in my villain arc... and everyone loves a bad guy... see you on the seventeenth, Lynx."
With that, Marshall pushes the camera out of the way as he walks past, and the scene fades.
