The Fox Among the Lions greets us with a confident smile.
“You’ve done a good job standing up to me in that ring. Too bad your run of good luck comes to an end at Spring Chicken. See, I could talk your ear off about how I’m a better wrestler than you and that’s why I’ll win, but honestly, a talent like you with a lot of upside and potential to become one of the luminaries deserves far better than that, so I’m gonna do you and your career a favor Monday night.
“Our encounter’s not gonna be a match. And it’s not even gonna be a one-sided slaughter like some dipshit who thinks he’s a hotshot might say to belittle his opponent. But I know better than that, especially since you’ve gotten the better of me more than I’d like to admit.”
David shakes his head and chuckles.
“No, MEZA, our time in that ring is gonna be a class. A MASTER class, even. Ring Generalship 101. Your instructor…”
A thumb pointed at himself.
“Professor David R. Troy Jr. My reputation speaks for itself, MEZA, and while you might not beat me at Spring Chicken, I’ll make damn sure you walk out of that ring with the TOOLS to make yourself a bonafide star. I’ll make a star out of you, MEZA.
“I just can’t promise you’ll like how I make it happen.”
